The white brined cheese is a traditional product that differentiates the
Bulgarian cuisine and makes it special. All meals usually include it or
are accompanied by it on the side. One of the greatest recipes of the
Bulgarian cuisine is the Shopska salad, which has become popular in many
countries around the world.
The cheese can be consumed as it is or be used as an ingredient to various meals, both cold and warm.
If the cheese is too salty, before consumption it could be put in
cold water and stored in the fridge for several hours. Once opened, the
product should be conserved in salty brine in the fridge (2-3 table
spoons of salt in 1 liter of cold water).
